 About Me

Hi, I’m Amanda, a Clinical Nutritionist specialising in weight loss and sustainable weight management. My passion is helping people achieve their healthiest, most confident selves through balanced nutrition and lasting lifestyle changes.

I don’t believe in diets. Rather, I focus on realistic, sustainable habits that are easy to follow and not restrictive. My approach is holistic, meaning I take the time to understand your health history and identify what may be hindering your weight loss. By addressing these factors, we can create a plan that works for you long-term.

The Science Behind Food Choices

What you eat directly impacts your metabolism, energy levels, and overall health. When you consume ultra-processed foods high in refined sugars, unhealthy fats, and additives, it leads to blood sugar spikes and crashes, causing cravings, fatigue, and sluggish metabolism. Over time, this can contribute to insulin resistance, hormonal imbalances, increased fat storage, inflammation, and a higher risk of chronic diseases like type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular issues.

My Approach

I believe in balance and moderation, and I make sure my clients fully understand how their food choices affect their bodies. When you understand the ‘why’ behind nutrition, making better choices becomes second nature. I also help my clients navigate the often overwhelming world of supermarkets, teaching them how to choose the right foods and what to avoid.

Beyond nutrition education, I ensure my clients get the right balance of macronutrients and essential micronutrients (vitamins and minerals). When needed, I may also prescribe supplements to support their health and weight loss goals.
